EXPERT & EXPERIENCED
Director, Kent Higgins, began his career over 20 years ago as a commercial electrician in Brisbane. The desire for a sea change saw Kent return to Mackay in 2005 where he was introduced to the booming mining industry.
His skills and experience saw him in various areas of the mine site including infrastructure, projects, fixed plants and field maintenance where he also took on supervisory roles.
During this time onsite, Kent experienced firsthand the need for a local, flexible calibration service for LV instruments that could provide more value.
Matrix Industrial Services was established in the Mackay region in 2006 by Barry Ford. Well-respected in the community, and well known for his extensive knowledge in the electrical and coal industries. Kent worked alongside Barry before taking the opportunity to continue Matrix Industrial services upon Barry’s retirement.
